Answer

Items in the CIHM (Canadian Institute for Historical Microreproductions) collection can be found by using the Early Canadiana Online database. Click here to access it. Many of the items indexed are available digitally, while others are available as microfiche / microfilm. If the item you are looking for is not available electronically, make note of the film no. The item will be located on the 2nd floor of the library in our microfilm / microfiche collection area.

CIHM Collection via the Library Catalogue

Search the library catalogue by clicking on the "Classic Catalogue" tab on the library homepage. Search CIHM AND _________ (your topic of interest)

The results will indicate whether the desired item is available in micromaterials or electronically.

For instructions on how to use the microfilm / fiche reader click here.
