I need a book and it says it is out for 4 months! How can I get a chance to borrow that book?

When you are looking at the book's record in the catalogue, you will see a button that says "Request it" above the title of the book.  Click on "Request it" and log into your account. Click "submit" on the request box that pops up. By pressing submit the system will send an email to the person who currently has that book on loan asking them to please return it. The patron who currently has it checked out is allowed to keep it for their initial check out of 3 weeks. If they have already passed that 3 weeks, they are given 5 days to return it.
