1) Choose a book that you would like to check out. Make sure that it says
"IN LIBRARY."

2) Find your book. The example shows that the book is located in the "Stacks", located on the second and third floors of the library. You have two options:

  • Retrieve the book on your own - Library Services staff can assist with how to search for books in our collection
  • or you can click the  button. To access the Request It button, click on the title of the book - this will bring you to the item's record where the REQUEST IT button is located.

You can then have the book retrieved and placed on the hold shelf in the Course Reserve Room on the first floor.

2a) Using the REQUEST IT button. You'll be prompted to sign in to your Library account to fill out a request form. Upon retrieval, an email will be sent to inform you that it is ready to pick up and how long it'll be held. If it is not picked up after this time period, it will be returned to the collection/stacks.

3) Check out your book. Go to the Library Services Desk or use one of the self check-out machines available on the 1st or 2nd floors.
