The request it button has a couple of different functions. Use this function to request that a title be retrieved from the stacks and placed on the hold shelf or use it to request that a particular chapter or journal article be scanned and emailed to you.

When you are looking at the book's record in the catalogue, you will see a button that says "Request" above the title of the book.

Sign in to your library account using your UNBC credentials.

Review the information on the page to ensure that it is accurate. If you are requesting the book as a whole, click submit. If you are requesting a specific chapter enter the page range in the special instructions field.

You will receive an email alert when your book is ready for pick-up. The book will be located  in the reserves room located on the right hand side of the circulation desk. The requests are organized in alphabetical order by last name (unbc credential).  The requested title will be held for one week and then returned to the stacks if not collected.
