The request it button has a couple of different functions. Use this function to request that a title be retrieved from the collection and placed on the hold shelf or use it to request that a particular chapter or journal article be scanned and emailed to you.

When you are looking at the book's record in the catalogue, you will see a link that says "Request" on the right hand side of the screen. Click the "Request" link.

A new window will pop up. Select the location where you would like to pick up the item and click "submit".

On the following page,  select to log in using your UNBC credentials.

Review the information on the page to ensure that it is accurate. If you are requesting the book as a whole, click submit. If you are requesting a specific chapter enter the page range in the special instructions field.

You will receive an email alert when your book is ready for pick-up. The book will be located  in the Course Reserves Room located by the Library Services Desk. The requests are organized in alphabetical order by the first four letters of your last name. The requested title will be held for one week and then returned to the collection if not collected. Book chapters and journal articles will be scanned and emailed to your UNBC email.
