Your library card is your UNBC student card which you will need in order to borrow books and to access our online resources. Your library account will be generated automatically once all your university fees are paid.

Please follow the procedure below to activate your new UNBC ID card / library card.

  1. Go to your MyUNBC Account (unbc.ca > click myUNBC in the top right hand corner)
  2. One of the boxes on your account should say “UNBC ID Card.” You may have to scroll to find it.

Choose “Manage ID online”

  1. Upload photo.
    1. From the dashboard, select Personal Settings.
    2. Select ‘Update Photo’.
  2. Review the digital photo guidelines for UNBC ID cards.
  3. Select Upload, then choose a file from computer
  4. Crop & rotate to adjust the photo framing, if necessary.
  5. Click on Submit.

You should receive an email saying that their photo is under review.

After you receive approval from the cashier’s office, your library account should upload and be ready to use (possibly will need 24 hours to upload).
