1) Choose a book that you would like to check out. Make sure that it says
"AVAILABLE."

2) Find your book. The example shows that the book is located in the "Stacks", located on the second and third floors of the library. You have two options:

  • Retrieve the book on your own - Library Services staff can assist with how to search for books in our collection or you can click the  button.
  • To access the Request It button, click on the title of the book - this will bring you to the item's record where the REQUEST button is located.
  • You will be prompted to log in and answer a few questions.

  • You can then have the book retrieved and placed on the hold shelf in the Reserve Room on the first floor.

3) Check out your book.

  • If you retrieved the book yourself go to the Library Services Desk or use one of the self check-out machines available on the 1st or 2nd floors.
  • If you requested the book, retrieve it in the reserves room and use the self checkout. Ask at the library services desk if you need help!
