SciFinder-n (previously called SciFinder Scholar) is a great database to find scientific research. It provides access to the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) databases, and is searchable by :

  • chemical structure
  • chemical name
  • CAS Registry Number
  • molecular formula
  • chemical reaction
  • research topic
  • author name
  • specific reference (abstract number or patent number)
  • company name/organization and
  • table of contents of selected journals.

In order to access SciFinder-n, you will need to set up a personal account using your UNBC email address.

Setting up a *NEW*  SciFinder account:

  • Go to SciFinder account creation form here. To gain access, you will be asked to log in using your UNBC credentials.

You must use your UNBC email when registering.

Once you have created your account, go to the SciFinder-n login page and enter the username and password you just created.
